What this test is
Trans-vaginal sonography uses a slim probe inserted into the vagina, giving much sharper images of the uterus and ovaries than abdominal ultrasound. Standard for diagnosing fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometrial issues, early pregnancy assessment, and infertility evaluation. The probe is covered with a disposable sheath, lubricated, and the procedure takes about 10 minutes. Always performed by our female sonographer with a female attendant present.
