What this test is
Scrotal ultrasound images the testicles, epididymis, and surrounding structures. Used to investigate lumps, swelling, pain, or after trauma. Common findings include hydrocele, varicocele, epididymitis, and testicular tumours. The scan is done in a private room with a single male technician when requested; the patient is draped throughout.
