What this test is
25-Hydroxy Vitamin D is the form your body stores and the best single indicator of your Vitamin D status. Deficiency is extremely common across urban India even in sunny cities — most adults working indoors test low. Levels under 20 ng/mL are deficient; 20–30 are insufficient; 30–60 are adequate. Symptoms of deficiency include bone pain, muscle weakness, frequent infections, and low mood. Supplementation is cheap and effective once levels are confirmed.
